This hidden temple is not that popular for tourists, BUT the stunning chapel and mural inside will make you stop and freeze. The giant swing landmark in front is not to be missed as well.

The fee for foreigners has now risen to 100 baht. This is even if you are a practicing Buddhist there to worship and not to tour. Also, there is construction. Lots of construction.

สถาปนาเป็นวัดกลางพระนครในสมัย ร.1 สร้างพระวิหารใหญ่เท่าวิหารวัดพนัญเชิง อัญเชิญ พระศรีศากยมุนี (พระโต) จากวัดมหาธาตุ สุโขทัย มาเป็นพระประธานในพระวิหาร พระประธานในพระอุโบสถ คือ พระตรีโลกเชษฐ์

เป็นวัดประจำรัชกาลที่1 พระองค์ใหญ่ในวิหารเดิมเรียกพระโต หรือพระใหญ่ ภายหลังมาเปลี่ยนชื่อในสมัย ร.4 เป็นพระศรีศากยมุนี(ไม่ใช่พระประธานนะครับทู้กกกค้นนน ^_~)

バンコクで最も大きい寺院のひとつ。ラーマ1世（1782～1809年）の命によってスコータイから運ばれてきた高さ8メートルの仏像プラ・シーサカヤムニーを祀るために、1807年に建設着工されましたが、実際の完成はラーマ3世（1824～1851年）時代の1847年。本尊のプラ・シーサカヤムニーを祀る本堂には美しい彫刻の門が6つあり、本堂の美しい壁とともに見どころのひとつ。8時半~21時　拝観料20バーツ
